Ingredients

How much Glucosamine and Green Lipped Mussel is in Jointsure?

Each individual Jointsure tablet contains 260mg of high-strength glucosamine and 155mg of green lipped mussel extract.

Do the tablets have a flavour?

There is no flavouring added to our tablets but they will have a slight fishy taste due to the green lipped mussel.

My dog is on grain-free food is this product suitable for them?

Grain free dog food is made without wheat, rye, barley, oats, maize, sorghum, millet, triticale or rice. None of these are present in our formula. However, I would strongly suggest that the dog owner checks with their local vet before administering  any supplements

Do your products have any poultry or animal additives?

They are marine (glucosamine and green lipped mussels) and plant (MCC) based ingredients, no flavouring is added and definitely no poultry animals derivatives.

Do your products contain palm oil?

No! All our products are palm oil free.

Serving Guide

My dog is taking medication…

If your dog is currently being given any medication, we highly recommend consulting your vet before using any supplements.

How many tablets should I give my dog?

The Daily Portion Guide for Jointsure is based on the weight of your dog. Check out the 'Serving guide' section of each product to know exactly how much to give.

We recommend that if giving more than 1 tablet per day you should spread the tablets out over the day – for instance, if your dog needs 3 tablets per day, you would give one in the morning, one at lunchtime and the third in the evening.

TOP TIP

A good tip to find out how much your dog weighs – especially if your dog is reluctant to stand on a set of scales by itself – would be to weigh yourself on the scales, making a note of the weight, and then to pick up your dog and then re-weigh, again noting the new combined weight. It is then a simple case of subtracting the first weight from the second to give you the weight of your dog.

How do I give my dog Jointsure?

Although most dogs find the taste of Jointsure tablets enjoyable and will quite happily take them directly, the tablets have been specifically manufactured to be easily crumbled into food for ease of use.

For best results, we suggest you double the recommended daily serving for the first 4 – 6 weeks of use.

Can you serve jointure with milk?

We do not recommend mixing our tablets with milk and please ensure that your puppy can digest solid food before starting them on our products.

However, our Glucosamine & Chondroitin Powder can be dissolved in your dog's water.

What age should I transfer from Young & Active?

It depends on how active your dog is. Young and active formula is formulated for preventative care and more importantly helps with recovery time. Our senior label (blue) is the strongest formula for dogs already having joint problems.

Expiry dates

All the products have a shelf life of two years, therefore it would depend on their production date which can be found on the back of the label.

JointSure General Information

Difference between Jointsure Senior (Blue) and Y&A (Green) Jointsure.

Jointsure Young and Active tablets (green label) aim to soothe stiffness while supporting and maintaining normal joint functions. The product has a preventive effect and helps maintaining healthy joints and cartilage.

Formulated to support active and growing joints – perfect for puppies, younger dogs, and canine athletes. The Active Ingredients are Green Lipped Mussel, Glucosamine, Natural Chondroitin, Vitamins C, Vitamin E, Manganese, Hyaluronic Acid and N-acetyl-D-Glucosamine.

Our Jointsure tablets (blue label) aim to help joint stiffness, maintain joint mobility, and support joint structure, relieving the dog of aches and pains. It is formulated to work to support the joint structure, maintain joint mobility and combat joint stiffness. The Active Ingredients are Green Lipped Mussel, Glucosamine, Natural Chondroitin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Manganese and Hyaluronic Acid.

Both are suitable for all breeds and ages. Both products are fine to give to a puppy as soon as the puppy takes solid food.

However, the green label formula is formulated for a younger and more active dog as the formula helps with physical recovering and has a preventative effect. While the blue label, our stronger formula, is great with older dogs that have already developed joint problems

How does Jointsure work?

A dog’s joints (just like our own) are cushioned against the impact of walking and running, and the general wear and tear of daily life, by a combination of cartilage (a flexible, rubbery tissue that cushions and protects the bones where they meet) and synovial fluid (a thick, slippery liquid that lubricates the joint for easy movement).

As dogs age, their ability to maintain this joint protection system can cause stiffness and affect their mobility.

Jointsure works by replenishing the nutrients required to maintain your dog’s own natural joint protection system, and includes active ingredients that works in synergy with these nutrients to allow them to be absorbed more easily and effectively.

When will I notice results?

Depending on your dog, you should first start to notice the benefits within approximately 6-8 weeks.

If this is the first time of giving your dog a joint support supplement, you should give them double the recommended amount for the first 4-6 weeks. This will help fast track the supplement's benefits.

This will help to support their natural glucosamine reserves and help to get them moving that much quicker.

Can I use Jointsure to help my dog when they are young?

Yes you can, in fact many veterinarians recommend supplementing the diets of breeds known more for stiff joints.

In particular, larger and heavier breeds – for instance, German Shepherds, Golden and Labrador Retrievers, Newfoundlands, Saint Bernards, Rottweilers, Great Danes, Mastiffs and Old English Sheepdogs – are more likely to experience stiffness as they get older.

Certain smaller breeds, such as Dachshunds, Bulldogs and Basset Hounds, could also benefit from early supplementation with Jointsure as their breeds are known for developing stiffness.

You should always consult your veterinarian prior to beginning any form of dietary supplementation.
